B-PEP chair, Tim Stevens, speaks at the Women’s March on January 19, 2019.

The focus of the march was on women's rights, the rights of African Americans and people of color, support for the Jewish community, the disability community, and the LGBTQAI community. Tim Stevens was the only male who spoke at Market Square to announce the Black & White Reunion's 21st Annual Summit, now called the RACIAL JUSTICE SUMMIT which opens at 6:30 pm Friday, January 25th at 6:30 pm at the Union Project, and runs from 8 am to 5:30 pm on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, with  the closing celebration at 7:30 pm back at the Union Project. 

Stevens also spoke of the mission of B-PEP advocating that African Americans VOTE in EACH and EVERY election, and mentioned  what a powerful statement it would be if people from the various groups represented at the march would 'VOTE in EACH and EVERY election"!!

B-PEP Wins Outstanding Empowerment Organization!

B-PEP was honored by VEEM, Voter Empowerment Education & Enrichment Movement on Saturday, October 6th, 2018. B-PEP received an award for "Outstanding Empowerment Organization" .
